On June 6, 2013, CBRE employees from the Lexmark Account and Lexmark Corporate Real Estate – volunteered at Military Missions, Inc. in Lexington, KY. One of Military Missions’ largest projects is sending care packages to our troops deployed in harm’s way. The care packages are sent to the troops on a year round basis. CBRE employees helped make over 700 care packages for our July mailing.
Employees formed and taped the USPS flat rate boxes, filled bags with candy, drink mixes, personal care items, and snacks to go in these boxes. Some employees rolled socks and wrapped Bibles that also go to the troops, while others took the individual bags of candy, drink mixes, personal care items, and snacks and created unit bag care packages which are shipped to units. CBRE employees also collected items needed for the care packages which they brought with them that day.
CBRE employees’ volunteer hours helped make it possible to mail these small touches of home to our deployed troops. CBRE also raised money for the postage needed to send the boxes by having a bowling tournament. All of their efforts helped us say “thank you” to our deployed military personnel.
Everyone enjoyed the day, CBRE employees, Lexmark employees and Military Missions’ volunteers. On behalf of the heroes who will be touched by your time and efforts, we are grateful.
Thank you for partnering with Military Missions, Inc. to support and encourage those that ensure freedoms known only to Americans.
